How do I find a place to live in Ampang?

We asked expats how they chose their neighborhood and found a place to live. They answered:

"To find a place to live in Ampang, you can start by researching online property websites such as PropertyGuru, iProperty, and Mudah.my, which offer listings for houses, apartments, and condominiums in the area. You can filter your search based on your preferences, such as budget, property type, and location. Another option is to engage the services of a local real estate agent who can help you find a suitable property based on your requirements. You can find agents through online directories or by asking for recommendations from friends or colleagues who have experience in the Ampang property market. Additionally, you can explore local newspapers and classified ads for property listings. The Star and The New Straits Times are popular newspapers in Malaysia that often feature property advertisements. Once you have shortlisted a few properties, arrange for property viewings to inspect the condition of the property and the surrounding neighborhood. This will help you get a better understanding of the area and whether it meets your needs. Lastly, consider joining local community groups or forums on social media platforms such as Facebook, where you can ask for recommendations and advice from residents who are familiar with Ampang. This can provide valuable insights into the best neighborhoods, amenities, and potential properties to consider," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Ampang.
