What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Guanajuato?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Guanajuato about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"It may be beneficial to research medical facilities in the area for any prenatal and newborn care needed. Make sure to bring any necessary documents such as birth certificates, passports, or immigration permits to the hospital upon arrival. Additionally, it is important to have contact information for nearby English-speaking doctors or health services in case of any medical emergencies. Since breastfeeding is a widely accepted practice in Mexico, it is also important to know how to access help and resources if needed. Lastly, it is always good to get advice and support from other local and expat parents who may have similar experiences," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Guanajuato, Mexico.
