What is it like to retire in Saipan?
We asked retirees what it is like retiring in Saipan. They said...
"Retiring in Saipan can provide a unique experience. It has excellent weather throughout the year with temperatures in the low- to mid-80s Fahrenheit, and it has a diverse culture with a mix of Chamorro, Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, and American influences. There is plenty to do in Saipan, including golfing, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, and swimming in the crystal clear waters. The island also has a variety of restaurants and stores. The cost of living is generally quite reasonable, and the rate of taxation is low, making Saipan an attractive option for retirees. Healthcare is available on the island, but it is limited in comparison to the mainland states. All in all, Saipan can be a great place to retire, as long as you don't mind a warm climate and an island lifestyle," commented one expat who made the move to Saipan, United States.
