Will I save money living in Harbour Island?

Answer this Question

We asked expats if they save money living in Harbour Island. They said...

"The cost of living in Harbour Island, can vary greatly depending on your lifestyle. Generally, the cost of living is higher in the Bahamas compared to the United States due to the high cost of imported goods and utilities. However, the Bahamas does not have an income tax, which could potentially offset some of these costs. Housing can also be more expensive, especially in popular tourist areas. Additionally, healthcare in the Bahamas is not as advanced as in the United States, so you may need to factor in the cost of travel for certain medical procedures. Therefore, while you may save money in some areas, overall, you may not necessarily save money living in Harbour Island, Bahamas compared to the United States," explained one expat living in Harbour Island, Bahamas.
