Is there a lot of crime in Alicante?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Alicante, like any other city, experiences some level of crime. However, it is generally considered to be a safe city with a relatively low crime rate. Most of the crimes reported are petty crimes such as pickpocketing and bag snatching, particularly in crowded areas and tourist hotspots. Violent crimes are relatively rare, and the city is generally safe to walk around, even at night. However, it is always advisable for residents and tourists to take standard precautions to protect their personal belongings. The local police force in Alicante is proactive and responsive in maintaining the safety and security of the city," remarked another expat in Alicante, Spain.
