Limassol Marina in Cyprus

As a foreigner living in Limassol, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Limassol if they have access to public healthcare in Limassol. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"As a foreigner living in Limassol, you will have access to public healthcare, provided you have registered with the Cyprus National Health Insurance System (NHIS). The public healthcare system in Cyprus is known for its high-quality services and well-trained medical professionals. However, it is important to note that public hospitals and clinics may experience longer waiting times and may not have the same level of amenities as private healthcare facilities. Additionally, while most healthcare professionals speak English, language barriers may still be encountered in some cases. It is also recommended to have private health insurance to cover any additional costs or to access private healthcare facilities for more specialized treatments," said another expat in Limassol, Cyprus.
