What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?

"The healthcare system in Mal Pais has been largely responsive to the pandemic. The local health center has been providing regular updates on the situation and has been offering free testing and treatment for those who need it. The local government has also been providing support to the health center, including additional funding and resources. In addition, the local community has been very supportive of the health center, with many people volunteering their time and resources to help out. Overall, the healthcare system in Mal Pais has been doing a good job of responding to the pandemic and providing the necessary care and support to the local community," remarked another expat who made the move to Mal Pais, Costa Rica.

"Our local clinic is testing for Covid-19 and that is a positive for expats. Before a person would have to travel 5 hours away for a test," explained one expat living in Mal Pais, Costa Rica.
