"Visiting Puerto Penasco, typically requires a visitor's visa if staying longer than 180 days. To apply for a visa, interested visitors must complete an application form, obtain a letter of sponsorship from family members or a Mexican business, provide their passport copy, a bank reference letter, and a round trip ticket to Mexico. To obtain residency in Puerto Penasco, interested visitors must apply at the immigration office and provide a valid passport, two passport size photos, Mexican bank account documents, medical report, original birth certificate and criminal background report. In addition to these documents, applicants should also provide a contract from an employer in Mexico, or documents that demonstrate economic solvency or proof of investments made in Mexico.
