We asked retirees what they find the most challenging about retiring in Norway. They wrote...

"One of the most challenging aspects of retiring in Norway is the high cost of living. Due to the region's small population and history of high taxation, the cost of everyday goods and services can be noticeably more expensive than in other countries. In addition, the more populous areas of Norway may be harder to access for those who are unable to drive. This can make it difficult to get to amenities or visit friends and family. Furthermore, learning the language of the region can represent a further challenge. Understanding and using Norwegian may be essential for understanding local services and engaging in everyday conversations," wrote a member who made the move to Norway.
