Legal advice for renters

Hi. I’ve lucked into a great long term rental here in Nice. I’m told that leases here are standard across the country and tenants have a lot more rights than in the US or the UK, however my landlord (a company) took 6 weeks to fix the hot water in my kitchen and replace a non working dishwasher. French renters assure me this is way out of line and should have been fixed in days, not weeks. It’s all working now but I want to find a lawyer who specializes in tenant’s rights so I will know what to say and do next time they drag their feet on a repair, which I’m told is almost always. If the apartment wasn’t so great I’d move but it is so I’m dealing with it. Thanks!
