3 questions / multi-tasking

My wife used to do the exact same thing. The worst part is she is pretty smart. She's not like that anymore. The truth of the matter is most Filipinos from the province (and many in the city) were raised in a way that they do not think very hard. It sounds really stupid but it's true. Anyone who has had a maid or a houseboy from the province knows what I'm talking about. I also had a small business with workers that were from the province (general train of thought is the ones that have been in the city for a few years were not as honest or trustworthy). Filipinos also hire straight from the province. You have to teach many of them to think more. It's not necessarily that they are dumb but that they were raised in a way that they were not encouraged to think. Old habits are hard to change but of course many people all over the world learn to use more of their brain over time. Some take longer than others. Most of the Philippine school systems are the same way. They encourage you to memorize rather than to reason and understand.
