ACR Identification Card

Been here 8 months now and still have not gotten my ACR Card for ID purposes. The only place I needed it was at my bank to open an account. So yesterday the clerk at the immigration office gave me a notarized, signed letter stating that I had indeed applied and paid for it, and today I presented this document to the bank, which they accepted (BDO).
