Filipina Married to Latino

I am so confused. I am about to renew my passport and will be using my husband's family name. Unfortunately, it shows in the record that I will be using my husband's mother's name, as it was written in the last, while his family name was written in the middle. i dont understand why the embassy is trying to follow the Philippine' system, which, i do understand, that should not be, in other country's system.

Any advice?
