Seeking intellectual friends in Laguna/Batangas

I just arrived last month with my Pinay wife of 20 years, having both retired after working abroad for several decades. I'm now living at our retirement home in Canlubang, Laguna.

Though happily embedded in my wife's family, whom I've known for almost as long as I've known her, I'd like to meet up with some expats to be able to share more wide-ranging and stimulating conversation, a beer or two, and maybe even some fishing outings.
