Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center can be quite reasonable, while a similar apartment outside of the city center can be even cheaper. Groceries in Westport are also reasonably priced, with basic items such as bread, milk, and eggs being quite affordable. Eating out at a mid-range restaurant can be a bit more expensive, but still manageable for most budgets. Transportation costs in Westport are also relatively low, especially if you choose to use public transportation or walk. However, owning and maintaining a car can add to your monthly expenses. Healthcare in Ireland is generally good and reasonably priced, especially if you qualify for the public healthcare system. However, private healthcare can be quite expensive. Overall, while the cost of living in Westport is not the cheapest in Ireland, it is still quite affordable, especially when compared to larger cities.
