"Living in Tamarindo can be significantly cheaper than living in the United States. The cost of living in Tamarindo is much lower than in the US, with basic necessities such as food, housing, and transportation costing significantly less. Additionally, the cost of entertainment and leisure activities is also much lower in Tamarindo than in the US. As a result, many people who move to Tamarindo find that they are able to save a significant amount of money compared to living in the US," remarked another expat who made the move to Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
