Are foreigners allowed to own property in Israel?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Israel if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Israel. However, there are certain restrictions in place. Non-Israeli citizens are not allowed to purchase land in certain areas, such as those designated as military zones or those that are part of the state's master plan. Additionally, foreign citizens are not allowed to purchase land in areas that are deemed to be of strategic importance to the state. Foreigners are also not allowed to purchase land that is owned by the Jewish National Fund," explained one expat living in Israel.
