International income protection, also called "loss of income" or "disability" insurance, protects individuals who are no longer able to work from loss of income. Whether by illness or injury, you can receive financial benefits that pay a monthly benefit while you recover, or a lump sum amount should you be permanently unable to work.
For temporary disablement, benefits can be as much as 60% of your monthly salary, allowing you to cover the most important of financial responsibilities. Should the illness or injury be permanent, then you can receive benefits of up to 5 times your annual income, paid in a lump sum amount.
