"I am a German Born American. I am 59 and plan to retire in the next 2-3 years. My retirement will involve moving to Germany. I have family there and want to get away from the hectic life in the USA. I have narrowed my search down to a few cities, but my top choice right now is Stuttgart. It's also close to relatives and the good climate year-round is a big draw. I speak German. Not as fluent as I would like, but will continue practicing so I will hopefully be fluent by the time I go. I lost my husband in 2020- so this will be a completely new adventure in my life, and I am so excited for it." - SamGray

"Can anyone recommend a good source for rental homes? Family of 4 moving to dusseldorf. What is the best way to go about doing this? Are there any real estate company equivalents or services that assist expats? I have looked on-line at e-rent.de. Is this a reliable source?
