UPDATE on Pleaseee give me the Good Oil

G’day from Aussie

I’m at the ripe old age of full pension retirement on 8-May… I will be coming to live in Phil/Davao at the end of June & staying on the allowed 6 mt Visa - to start with.
It’s my 1st time going OS & I must admit I have the fn jitters a bit:(

I’m an Ex-builder, now designing new technology & I would be most obliged if any of you blokes (or ladies) could help me out with a few tips so I can at least start the ball rolling before I come…

My bucket list for any suggestions is as below:

1 Love to keep in contact with English speaking people, especially in the Davao area.

2. The type of Health Insurance policy I should get covered with without bustin the pocket – and name of Insurer

3. What are my permanent Visa options after 6mts on returning to Phil

4. Best way to draw on my Pension from my Australian ANZ Bank card without being slugged big withdrawal fees

5. I love me spuds (Potatoes) & not big on rice… lol
Can I buy decent spuds there, or am I allowed by customs to bring a couple on spuds into Phil to plant myself

6. In addition to my airfare paid here in Aussie… how much am I likely to be slugged extra & what for, upon arrival by the corrupt Custom/Govt officials?

7. Any tips on how to get mail/packages into Phil safely - without it being stolen by Postal or Custom Officials?

Ummmm that’s it for the mo!

Thanks
Paul
