Spices

Note to Self: don't pack bottles of spice in my carry on.

I am back in Ukraine for a year. I love to cook so I brought various items with me. I have 62 bottles of spices amongst them. Since them are the nice glass bottles of McCormick spices (yes, I am picky), they kind of weigh a lot. So I decided to put them all in my carry on so they wouldn't weigh down my checked bag.

Well...32 of them were flagged "green" in the x-ray, meaning they had a density or granularity that was suspicious of explosive material content. So they had to remove them all, rescan them to see which ones were really flagged as green, then do a swab test of each of the 32 suspect bottles. Had to do that in Salt Lake and then again in Chicago before I boarded my plane to Istanbul.

I think I will just check them through next time....LOL!
