What the hell are Hash House Harriers (HHH)? We are a "Drinking Club with a Running Problem". An international club founded by a British Soldier in Kuala Lumpur back in 1938, it is based on the old English game called "Hares and Hounds". A typical Hash will find two "hares" laying a flour trail through the streets and forests in and around Frankfurt for the rest to follow the markings with checks leading on false trails and one "true trail". The runners are slowed down, enabling the walkers (wankers) to catch up. Anybody with normal physique can take part in a hash! The run is followed by a "circle" where newcomers and visitors are celebrated, and other traditional ceremonies take place.

Hash House Harrier clubs are found on every continent and in almost every country. It is very convenient if you are relocating or just moved and want to make contacts and friends in that country. Hashers are extremely hospitable.

The Frankfurt Hash House Harriers run in the winter time every Sunday at 12.00 noon and in the summer months on Mondays at 7 pm. There is no membership or obligation to participate every week. We are a group of approx. 40-60 people from all over the world!

We oranize charity runs and charity events such like BBQs etc.

Usually we meet once a week, but for special events we meet more often. Sounds like we are flexible!!!
