Summary: Expatriates move to Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia for a variety of reasons, including the city's strong economy, its proximity to the Persian Gulf, its diverse cultural attractions, and its excellent educational opportunities. Additionally, Al Khobar is a popular destination for expats due to its low cost of living, its modern infrastructure, and its vibrant nightlife. Furthermore, the city is home to a large expat community, making it easy for newcomers to settle in and make friends.

What do I need to know before moving to Al Khobar?

When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Al Khobar, they said:

"Al Khobar is a city in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Expats should be aware that the city is subject to the laws and customs of Saudi Arabia, which are based on Islamic law. Expats should also be aware that alcohol is strictly prohibited in the city. Additionally, women should be aware that they are expected to dress modestly and cover their hair in public. Expats should also be aware that the city is very hot and humid during the summer months, and that air conditioning is essential. Finally, expats should be aware that English is not widely spoken in Al Khobar, so it is important to learn some basic Arabic before moving to the city," said one expat who made the move to Al Khobar.
