Are healthcare and health insurance expensive in Quebec City?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Quebec City if healthcare and health insurance are expensive in Quebec City, they wrote...

"Healthcare in Quebec City is generally considered to be quite affordable. The province of Quebec has a public health insurance system that covers most medical services, including hospital stays, doctor visits, and prescription drugs. However, some services, such as dental care, vision care, and certain medical treatments, are not covered by the public system and must be paid for out-of-pocket. Private health insurance is also available in Quebec City, but it is generally more expensive than the public system and may not cover all of the services that are covered by the public system," commented one expat who made the move to Quebec City, Canada.
