Thinking of moving to Colombia for awhile.

Hi guys,

I'm a 35 year old male. I'm a professional working in the design/marketing business.

I am working remotely this year and I sort of want to switch things up a bit for a year.

Some questions:

1) I don't speak much Spanish. How would I fair in Bogota? Medellin?
2) I would need to bring my dog. I hear that's relatively easy. Is it? Has anyone done it? I was thinking about Costa Rica, but they have an epidemic going there and it's not recommended someone bring a dog.
3) I'd like to keep a $3-4k/mth budget. What sort of lifestyle would that buy me?
4) Safety. How safe will I be? Will I get stabbed and left in an alley?
5) Girls. I don't really like American girls. I do like Colombian girls as I've dated one in the past. How will I fair? I'm a blonde and am fairly attractive. Will I find anyone real or just girls who want me for my money/status?
6) Do any of you have any recommendations on how to find an unfurnished apartment? Furnished if the furniture is nice. Will they price gouge me?

I guess that's all of my questions for now. Any answers are appreciated.
