"Life for a retiree in Nosara can be described as a tranquil yet vibrant experience. The town is known for its laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal place for those seeking a peaceful retirement. The natural beauty of the area, with its pristine beaches and lush forests, offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as surfing, yoga, hiking, and bird watching. There is an active expat community in Nosara, with many retirees from the United States, Canada, and Europe. This community often organizes social events, providing a great way for newcomers to make friends and feel at home. The locals are also very welcoming and friendly, adding to the sense of community in the town. Culturally, Nosara offers a blend of traditional Costa Rican culture and international influences. There are several art galleries and craft shops in the town, showcasing local and international artists.
