Cultural attractions in the area abound, from colorful local festivals to the National Center for the Arts, which offers theaters, art galleries, and a cultural center. Further, the city itself is home to several major museums, a zoo, and some ancient ruins. Meanwhile, the surrounding countryside provides opportunities for outdoor recreation and sightseeing, with activities such as cycling, walking, and horse riding popular amongst residents.
