Is the cost of living in San Clemente high?

We asked people how much they someone comfortably live on in San Clemente, they wrote:

"The cost of living in San Clemente is considered to be relatively low compared to many Western countries. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center is quite affordable, while outside the city center, it is even cheaper. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, water, and garbage is also quite low. Groceries are also affordable, with local markets offering fresh produce, meat, and dairy at reasonable prices. Eating out at restaurants is also inexpensive, with a meal at an inexpensive restaurant costing very little. Transportation costs are also low, with affordable public transportation and inexpensive gasoline for those who drive. Healthcare is also reasonably priced, with both public and private healthcare options available at a fraction of the cost compared to Western countries. However, imported goods and luxury items can be more expensive due to import taxes. Overall, the cost of living in San Clemente, Ecuador is quite affordable, making it an attractive destination for expats and retirees," remarked one in San Clemente.
