Housing is quite inexpensive, with rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center being much lower than the global average. Utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, and water are also reasonably priced. Groceries in Spanish Town are moderately priced. Local markets offer fresh produce, meat, and fish at affordable prices, while imported goods and specialty items can be more expensive. Eating out at restaurants can vary, with local eateries being quite cheap and high-end restaurants being more costly. Transportation costs in Spanish Town are also quite low. Public transportation is widely available and affordable, and the cost of gasoline is lower than in many other countries. However, owning and maintaining a car can be more expensive due to import taxes. Healthcare in Spanish Town is relatively affordable, especially when compared to countries like the United States. However, the quality of healthcare can vary, and private healthcare is more expensive. Overall, the cost of living in Spanish Town, Jamaica, is quite low, making it an attractive place for expats and retirees.
