What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Sheffield?
We asked expat moms who gave birth in Sheffield about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...
"It is important to research the local healthcare system and find out what services are available to you as an expat. Make sure to register with a local GP and midwife as soon as possible to ensure you have access to the best care. It is also a good idea to join a local antenatal class to meet other expectant parents and learn more about the birthing process. Additionally, it is important to familiarize yourself with the local maternity services and find out what support is available to you. Finally, make sure to take advantage of the many resources available to expats in Sheffield, such as support groups and online forums," commented one expat who made the move to Sheffield, England.
