Consider hiring a doula or midwife to provide additional support during the pregnancy and delivery. 3. Take advantage of the many prenatal classes available in Manila to help prepare for the birth. 4. Make sure to get all the necessary vaccinations for your baby before birth. 5. Consider joining a local expat group or online forum to connect with other expats who have had babies in Manila. 6. Be aware of the cultural differences in the Philippines and be prepared to adjust to them. 7. Make sure to have a plan in place for postpartum care, including a support system of family and friends. 8. Take the time to explore the city and find the best places to shop for baby supplies. 9. Have a plan for childcare if you are returning to work after the baby is born. 10.
