The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city centre is around £650 per month, while outside of the city centre it is slightly lower. Groceries and other everyday items are also reasonably priced, with a typical weekly shop costing around £50. Eating out is also relatively affordable, with a meal for two in a mid-range restaurant costing around £30. Public transport is also reasonably priced, with a single bus ticket costing around £2," remarked another expat in Exeter, England.
