What are healthcare services like in Santa Fe?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Santa Fe. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Santa Fe are relatively basic, with a small local clinic providing primary care services. The clinic is staffed by nurses and occasionally visited by a doctor. For more serious health issues, residents typically have to travel to larger cities like Santiago or Panama City. These cities have larger hospitals with more specialized care and advanced medical equipment. Despite the limitations, the healthcare staff in Santa Fe are known for their dedication and care towards their patients. The government has also been making efforts to improve healthcare services in rural areas like Santa Fe. However, access to healthcare can still be a challenge due to the remote location and lack of transportation," remarked another expat who made the move to Santa Fe, Panama.
