Is there a lot of crime in Franschhoek?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Franschhoek, is generally considered a safe and peaceful town, known for its wine estates and gourmet restaurants. However, like any other place, it is not entirely free from crime. The most common types of crime reported in the area are petty theft and burglary. Violent crimes are relatively rare, but they do occur occasionally. The local police force is active and responsive, and the community is vigilant, which helps to maintain the overall safety of the town. Despite these issues, Franschhoek remains a popular destination for both local and international tourists," commented one expat who made the move to Franschhoek, South Africa.
