Some of the schools offer a traditional Guatemalan curriculum while others focus on a Montessori and Waldorf education, as well as certified international curriculums. Nearly all of the schools have programs that cover pre-primary and primary grades, plus some offer secondary school and even college-level courses. In recent years, the schools in Lake Atitlan have developed strong relationships with universities such as the University of San Carlos, offering students the opportunity to pursue college studies right in the community.
