"The cost of housing in Davao varies depending on the type of housing and location. Generally, the cost of renting an apartment or house in Davao is relatively affordable compared to other cities in the Philippines. Prices for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center can range from around 8,000 to 15,000 Philippine Pesos per month, while prices for a three-bedroom apartment in the suburbs can range from around 10,000 to 20,000 Philippine Pesos per month," remarked another expat who made the move to Davao, Philippines.
"Housing costs run about 40% of US prices and are usually furnished with linens and silverware (flatware). Most have a few cups and plates to get you going, a rice cooker, micro, fridge and a pot and pan are almost always included! We buy a few things as we need them," explained one expat living in Davao , Philippines.
