What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?
When we asked expats and global nomads in Davao about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...
"The pandemic has had a significant impact on the local healthcare system in Davao. The healthcare system has had to adjust to the new demands of the pandemic, such as increased testing and contact tracing. The healthcare system has also had to manage the influx of patients with COVID-19, as well as those with other medical conditions. The healthcare system has had to implement new protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of both patients and healthcare workers. Despite the challenges, the healthcare system in Davao has been able to provide quality care to those in need," remarked another expat who made the move to Davao, Philippines.
"Ok, I have been quarantined for 7 days upon arrival and swab tested even though I had it done when I was in the states. Face shields are required but very few use them. They sit in top of people's heads and not worn properly, makes me wonder why it is mandatory but not worn properly," explained one expat living in Davao, Philippines.
