What residency documents or visas did I need if I will be in Dominican Rep for a while?
We asked expats what residency documents or visas they need when settling in Dominican Rep. They wrote...
"If you plan to stay in the Dominican Republic for an extended period of time, you will need to obtain a residency visa. This visa can be obtained from the Dominican Republic Embassy or Consulate in your home country. You will need to provide proof of your identity, such as a valid passport, and proof of financial stability, such as a bank statement. Additionally, you may need to provide a criminal background check and a medical certificate. Once you have obtained the visa, you will need to register with the Dominican Republic Immigration Office," remarked another expat who made the move to Dominican Rep.
