"Hello, My name is Ryan and I am and American from New York, looking to relocate to Italy in late 2023, early 2024. My work is now currently 100% remote so I can reolcate to anywhere and get my work done with an internet connection and a cell phone. My family is half Sicilian and half neapolitan so I'm looking to move somehwere in the south of Italy or maybe Rome just in the beginning while I transition and work on my Italian. I can read Italian 80% but I'm not too fluent, although I'm working on being mildly converstaional by the time I look to move. "Anyone else find customs or ways that don't make sense to you...... My landlady says cold drinks will cause you to get sick. That's why she will never put ice in a drink My neighbor says air conditioning would be okay if you just used it during the day. But, keeping it on overnight will give you pneumonia. I didn't tell her in the US I've slept with it on all summer all night long due to my sister's terrible allergies. :)" - 2Torino
