International School Salaries

Post New Topic

Hello

I would like to know more about the salaries offered at international schools in Italy.

This would be teacher and management salaries.

I have worked at international schools in Asia for over 10 years and I'm currently looking at the option of moving closer to home. (UK)

Any information or advice would be much appreciated.

Salaries in Italy are generally lower than other European countries, say Germany and other countries in the north, but nearly the same as in Spain and France. You can expect an annual gross salary of somewhere between 28-32,000. I was teaching middle and primary at an international school in Torino. I hope this helps!

Thank you!

That's very helpful. How did (or do) you find living in Italy?

Germany was my second option, but I am very keen on living in Italy!

Italian cuisine is of course better in Italy and way of life is laid back. Way too laid back sometimes that Italians are not very keen on time and road discipline. With regards to school calendar, I prefer the German school calendar as Italian schools have a 3-month vacation, which I find too long. And everyone goes on vacation and everything closes the entire month of August.
