Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center can be quite expensive, while outside the city center, it is somewhat more affordable. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, water, and garbage for an apartment is moderate. Internet services are also reasonably priced. When it comes to groceries, prices can vary. Local markets offer fresh produce, often at lower prices than supermarkets. However, imported goods and specialty items can be quite expensive. Eating out in Aix-en-Provence can range from moderately priced at casual dining restaurants to very expensive at high-end establishments. The cost of a regular cappuccino or a pint of domestic beer in a restaurant is relatively high. Public transportation in Aix-en-Provence is reliable and affordable, with various options including buses and bikes.
