Expats and retirees can take advantage of the outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hot air ballooning, and rock climbing. Additionally, the nearby Sierra Gorda mountains provide hiking and camping opportunities. Tequisquiapan offers a thriving nightlife with quaint cantinas and delicious food. Music plays a large role in the town's social life and there are many live music venues to enjoy. There is an active expat community with many organized events and activities.
