Will I save money living in Milan?
We asked expats if they save money living in Milan. They said...
"Moving to Milan can save you money in some areas compared to other cities, but it is ultimately up to you and how you choose to live. Depending on how you choose to spend your money, living in Milan can be cheaper or more expensive than living in other cities. For example, the cost of food, especially fresh produce, is generally cheaper in Milan than in other cities. On the other hand, culture and entertainment can end up being more expensive, since prices often rise in touristy places like Milan. In addition, the cost of renting or buying a property can be higher than in other cities," said another expat in Milan, Italy.
"Saving money while living in Milan can be challenging. However, it's possible with careful budgeting and lifestyle adjustments. Opting for less expensive neighborhoods, cooking at home, and taking advantage of public transportation can help reduce expenses. Taking advantage of local markets, seasonal sales, and free or low-cost cultural events can also contribute to saving money," wrote Brian Viola from Italian For A While.
