What are healthcare services like in Boracay Island?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Boracay Island. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Boracay Island are relatively basic but adequate for minor health issues. The island has a few small clinics and health centers that provide general medical services, including emergency care, minor surgeries, and dental care. For more serious conditions, patients are typically transported to larger hospitals in nearby cities like Kalibo or Iloilo. There are also several pharmacies on the island where over-the-counter and prescription medications can be purchased. However, it's recommended for visitors to have travel insurance as medical costs can be high, especially for more serious treatments. Despite these limitations, the healthcare staff on the island are known for their professionalism and dedication to providing the best care possible," remarked another expat in Boracay Island, Philippines.
