Is there a lot of diversity? Are people in Puerto Lopez accepting of differences?

Answer this Question

When we asked people about diversity in Puerto Lopez and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...

"Puerto Lopez is a small fishing village that is primarily home to a local population of Ecuadorians. While it may not be as diverse as larger cities, it does see a fair amount of international tourists due to its proximity to the Machalilla National Park and its reputation as a great spot for whale watching. As a popular tourist destination, the locals are generally accepting and welcoming of people from different backgrounds and cultures. However, like any place, individual experiences may vary," remarked another expat who made the move to Puerto Lopez, Ecuador.
