What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Cyprus?
We asked expat moms who gave birth in Cyprus about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...
"It is important to research the healthcare system in Cyprus before having a baby. Make sure to find a doctor or midwife that you trust and feel comfortable with. It is also important to familiarize yourself with the maternity leave policies in Cyprus and to plan ahead for any financial needs that may arise. Additionally, it is important to build a support network of family and friends who can help you during the pregnancy and after the baby is born. Finally, make sure to take time to relax and enjoy the experience of having a baby in Cyprus," remarked another expat who made the move to Cyprus.
"I would assist any woman here to have the birth and anteanatal she prefers.. Pafos needs a birthing centre, run by midwives and overseen by a consultant," explained one expat living in Paphos, Cyprus.
