Likes and Dislikes of Costa Rica

Funny that so many folks think when you find many more pluses to life, no matter where you live, you are being one sided and for some reason hiding something. And yes I am one sided--I have lived on a sailboat, in an 8 foot camper and a tent, but was content and loved it! So for the record and you folks who need to "compare" and I understand that ----here is what I like about Costa Rica. The people and culture--more kind, more peaceful and more laid back. The weather---I love the year round fullness of life with warm weather and the full early days--sun from 5 am to 6pm every day of the year.Cost of living--we live very nicely on 1500. Low taxes---my 2000 sq ft home in SR, 150 bucks a year. My 2000sq ft home in Fl.--3000 a year! Low health insurance--69 per month for me AND my wife, 100% coverage. Great home value--the construction of homes here at 75 a sq ft is twice a good and half the money of what it costs in Fl. Nature--Macaws, Toucans and Monkeys in the backyard every day, what can be wrong with that? That is just some of the big stuff. Negatives--sorry to say I don't have a long list as I never do no matter where I live. I HATE the tractor trailers and heavy traffic on route 32. I know it will be somewhat better when the road gets expanded but I forsee always having the trucks to complain about. Petty theft--where this came from in this country I don;t know. My Tico Father in law was the real deal and his generation was not like that. That is my negatives--all the rest is small stuff just like any country any where--wont ever be perfect so why complain?
