Hey everybody, I have a couple of random of questions that im hoping that you could help me with....first my husband is going to be working on the baha mar project starting in May, and we will be there for 2 years. Our baby will be 8 months by then, and we have 2 dogs that we are debating still if we should bring them or leave them here is the US with family... do about if people have pets there...Willi be safe walking two dogs with a baby? We are waiting to find out if we are going to be living on cable beach area with the rest of the employees from his company or we are going to rent on our own and if so, I'm looking into Sandy port. Okay so my main questions are...do I have to pay duty on items that I bring in suitcases via plane, because I was hoping to just pack as much as I can in many suitcases and only ship the large items like baby crib and toys etc. Also since we are going to be there for a long time is there stores for kid items, like clothes and toys because I need to know if I need to start buying that stuff here in the US so when my child grows that he will have clothes that fit him and toys to pay with...also I assume there are other young families there as well, so is there some sort of community where you can buy or exchange items between families? I would think it would be easier to buy used items over there like clothes and toys and then when you leave you sell them to other families instead of shipping everything back and forth. But mostly I don't know what to bring, since we will be there for 2 years and I don't know what I can buy there or what I need to buy in the US before I come...I'd rather not have to ship a lot and just get everything there, but is it that much more expensive? If it was just my husband and I, I would be done..all I need is some clothes and I'm set...but with a baby, I have no idea what to bring, since they change so much in that period of time between clothing sizes, toys, books, equipment etc...I'm just trying to really plan out everything...but only if there was a babies r us there and want expensive I would be fine haha. Anyways hopefully you can help me out with my questions...and does anyone know if such a group or such of moms there with young children?
