Divorced father with kids in Brasil

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to move to brazil to spend time with my children. I am divorced and they are currently 6 and 7 years old and live there with their mother and have duel citizenship. Do I have any privilege to come and visit and spend an extended period of time with them while they are young? I would like to have the opportunity to live there and be part of their lives and have my own apartment for the next 10 years or so if possible. I work in the software industry and I can work remotely so working from Brasil is not a problem.

Secondly I have a partner (no legal obligation) that I live with right now and we would like live there together. What options do we have as a couple to have more than tourist visa status (180 days legal status) in Brasil? If we became domestic partners would that give us any more opportunity to live together in Brasil with my children?

Thanks for you advice
