Damaged Passport

I haven't looked at my passport since my last visa renewal until now.

The passport is already chewed up, it doesn't even have the desire gold embossed emblem anylonger nor does it swipe, but that doesn't seem to be the issue.

2 pages do not have stamps, it expires next August and I am due for the 3 year renewal of my Colombia visa.

The problem is all the stamps have run their colors. It is obvious the passport was super humid and borderline wet. The principal foto page is fine, but the rest is terrible and my current theme visa almost inlegible.

When doing the vida online and printing the approved visa, do I absolutely need to get the sticker visa in the passport? Do I play stupid and get the visa first and play it by ear? I do not plan on leaving the country.

I ask because I am being cheap. The other thing is I live in the middle of know here in the country about 15km from the nearest pueblo. The locals don't even know where I live if I try to explain. How the hell is DHL going to find me here?

I literally do not even have an address.
